GO Family provides families with a unique opportunity to bond over a shared love of football, recreation, and fun.

GO Family allows children and parents to play football together at the same time, focusing on fun, fitness, and building strong family connections.

A six-week social program, that will allow children and parents to play football together at the same time! With a focus on fun, fitness, and building strong family connections, aiming to increase involvement in sport and physical activity while building lasting memories.

Go Family provides more opportunities to be involved in Football through the provision of inclusive and quality physical activity experiences. The program allows families to get active together, work as a team, and build connections to local Football clubs. It doesn't matter if you have never kicked a football before - absolutely no experience in necessary - anybody can take part!

Registration Steps:

  1. Create your Family Account
  2. Click on the "Register as an Individual button".
  3. Register each member of the Family in its respective age group.

Go Family Schedule:

TUESDAYS from 8/10/24 to 12/11/24 (6 weeks)
6 PM to 7:30 PM at Maribyrnong Swifts FC - Johnson Reserve

WEDNESDAYS from 9/10/24 to 13/11/24 (6 weeks)
6 PM to 7:30 PM at Footscray United Rangers FC - Robert Barrett Reserve

THURSDAYS from 10/10/24 to 14/11/24 (6 weeks)
6 PM to 7:30 PM at Yarraville Glory FC - Mclvor Reserve

Key features of GO Family include:

  1. Experienced football sessions run by Coaches from FV and local Clubs.
  2. Meet new people and learn basic football skills in a social, judgement-free environment.
  3. Increased participation in sports across all members of your Family.
  4. Learn valuable Coaching skills from the FV Club Coach Coordinator Program (CCC) created to mentor and support beginner Coaches, in an enjoyable and engaging environment for all involved.
  5. Connect with a local club and continue your Football journey.

Go Family includes moments where both Parents & Children train together, fostering teamwork, communication, and fun. At certain points, parents and children split into separate training sessions, allowing each to focus on their individual skills and development under the guidance of our experienced coaches. The sessions come back together with joint games and activities, where families can share their love for football and enjoy some friendly competition. It's all about creating lasting memories on and off the field!
